A “cookie” is an identifier that we transmit to your computer through your browser. It enables us to identify your browser and inform us how, when, and how many people visit our website pages. You can change your browser settings to block or restrict your computer from receiving cookies, but this may prevent you from using the best features of our website. Our advertising partners may also send cookies to your computer when you click on an advertisement on our website. This Privacy Policy does not cover any advertiser’s use of cookies.

  1. International Transfer of Personal Information

If you are located in the UK or the European Economic Area (EEA), and we share your personal information with parties located in the US or other countries not recognized as having adequately secure personal information transfer capabilities, we have implemented UK government-approved international data transfer agreements/annexes (for data transfers within the UK) and European Commission-approved standard contractual terms (for data transfers within the EEA), to the extent required by law for such transfers. Please contact us for more details on the safeguards in place and how to obtain copies.

  1. Retention of Personal Information

We generally retain your personal information only for the time necessary to achieve the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. Generally, this is the same retention period as during your interactions with us; however, in some cases, we may retain your personal information for a longer or shorter period. When determining the retention period for your personal information, we will consider the following factors: (a) any permission you have granted us regarding your personal information; (b) our contractual obligations and rights relating to the personal information in question; (c) our legal obligations to retain data for a specific period under applicable law; (d) our legitimate business interests; (e) whether retention is appropriate based on our legal position (e.g., regarding applicable statutes of limitations, investigations, litigation, and other potential and actual disputes); and (f) any guidance issued by relevant data protection authorities.

The security of your information also depends on you. If you have obtained (or chosen) a password for accessing specific parts of our website and mobile applications, it is your responsibility to keep that password confidential. Do not share your password with anyone.

Unfortunately, transmitting information over the internet is not absolutely secure. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of the personal information you transfer to our websites, mobile applications, or other services. You assume all risk associated with the transfer of any personal information. We are not responsible for any attempts to circumvent the privacy settings or security measures in our services.

If you are a resident of the UK or the EEA, you have specific rights relating to your personal information under data protection laws (and in some cases, to exercise those rights by contacting us).

You have the right to object to our processing of your personal information based on a “legitimate interest” (see the “How We Use Your Personal Information” section above) or to object to our processing of your personal information for any direct marketing purpose (such as sending you newsletters or marketing updates).

You also have the right to:

Request access to your personal information (generally referred to as a “Data Subject Access Request”) and receive a copy, as well as supplemental transparency information similar to that provided in this notice.

If you find that the personal information we hold about you is incomplete or inaccurate, please request correction.

If there is no legitimate reason for us to continue processing your personal information, or if you have successfully exercised your right to object to our processing of your personal information, you may request the deletion of your personal information.
